Sarah Goodman, who md. 1st Peter Gause and 2nd John Poitevent, was the daughter of Capt. (William Henry?) Goodman and his wife Anne ? Potter. Anne had previously been married to> Samuel Po't'ter and their daughter, Amelia Potter (m. Sempronius Russ) was the mother of (a) Amelia Potter Russ, who md. W.C.A.D, Gause (& son of Peier and Samuel Gause?s brother William), of (b) Lydia Russ, who md. W.C.A.D. Gause?s brother John W. Gause, and of (c) Samuel Potter Russ, father of Mary A. Russ who md. William James Poitevent.
