3. Elizabeth L. Deschamp - she was bom in 1848 as found in the 1850 Hancock census. She married Robert “Bob” Page on May 19, 1869, in Hancock County and lived in Harrison County. They had: Delila, Allen, and Johnathan. 4. Bernard Deschamp - bom in 1849 as found in the 1900 Harrison County census. He married Jane Carter on April 25, 1872, in Hancock County and had: Rose, Joseph, John, Delmas, Jane, Susan, Lillie, Melissie, Corinne, Susan, Mary, and Rachel. They lived near Dedeaux and some of their descendants still live near Kiln, Mississippi. 5. Louise Deschamp - bom in 1851 per 1900 census of Harrison County. She married Thomas Mayfield and had: Mary Jane, Alice, James “Wilbert”, John Alcide, and John “Samuel.” Before she married Mayfield, she had one “love child” son, called Henry. The family lived in Harrison County, Mississippi, near Dedeaux. After Henry Deschamp died, Elizabeth married a second time as stated above, to Jean Basile “John” or “Basile” Ladner. George Cameron said they lived in Harrison County, but the Hancock County census picks them up in 1880. We believe they lived near the Harrison-Hancock line, but were possibly in Harrison County. Elizabeth is buried in Rotten Bayou cemetery in Hancock County, but has no head marker. The 1880 census of Hancock County, District #4, has John B. Ladner, age 55, father of the following: John 25, Roselior 15, Delmas 12, Ellen 11, Casmere 9, Felicity 7, Emely 5, and Josephine 3, with no mother in the household. Living next door is Johntee (John T.) Ladner, age 25, wife, Louise 19, and children: Mary C. age 3 and Elizabeth age 1. We have done considerable research on this Ladner family that was given to Nap L. Cassibry, IL, for his book titled “The Ladner Odyssey.” We will now share some of what our research has produced and additional details can be found in Nap’s publication, pages 77 and 292 - 295. 1. Bernard, through the Reliance Life Insurance Company of Pittsburg. She married Louis Bernard on July 26, 1888, as found in the records of Annunciation Church. By this marriage, they had one son, Rennis Louis Bernard, bom on November 8, 1894, in Fenton, Mississippi.
