Lott Jr. appears in the 1880 Hancock census. He is listed with wife, Nancy and children: John, age 10 and Elizabeth, age 8. Ernest said that in the mid 1880’s, his grandfather moved from Hancock County to somewhere in Louisiana to live with his (Lott’s) father-in-law, John Gibson. After about a year there, the entire family moved again and settled in Baxterville, Lamar County, MS.
Ernest gave the following information on the two children of Lott McArthur, Jr.:
1.	John McArthur - his head marker in Caney Cemetery says he died on January 12, 1953 at 84 years, 2mo., and 9 days old. He lived in Baxterville and married Zuleeke McGrew who was born on July 6, 1876 and died on July 7, 1949. They had:
a.	Elizabeth McArthur - bom August 26, 1895 and died May 5, 1904. John’s cousin, Mary K. Zengarling, and her son Thomas Zengarling traveled to Baxterville to attend this child’s funeral. This was also the last time that any members of the two families were to visit.
b.	John “Ernest” McArthur - married Jewell Bryant and lived near Baxterville in the community called Greenville. He was the source of this information and was a very pleasant person. They had: Thomas, Gerald, Douglas,
Sandra, and Terry Lyne (a son).
2.	Mary “Elizabeth” McArthur - bom in 1872 according to the 1880 Hancock census. She was bom on November 2, 1869 and died in Marion Co., MS on October 19, 1943. She is buried in Clear Creek Cemetery in Lamar County, MS with a headstone. Emest said she married David Leroy “Roy” Davis in 1890 and
had:

III.	Rebecca Mary McArthur - according to her baptism record in Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, she was bom in “1816 in Miss.” This record also names her parents and says that she was the wife of Judge Benjamin Sones. She was a Catholic convert and was baptized on August 9,1882. Rebecca McArthur Sones died in Bay St. Louis on February 8, 1897 at age 80 (1817) and is buried in Cedar Rest cemetery. Her obituary can be found in the Gulf Coast Progress newspaper. In the 1850 census, Rebecca is living in Hancock County with her husband, Benjamin Sones and children. Eliza age 15, Sarah 11, Benjamin Jr. 10, Lott 9, and Henry age 6. The 1850 census shows her to be bom in 1819. In the 1870 census, she is listed as bom in 1820 in MS. With these two census records almost matching we suspect she was probably bom around 1819, rather than in 1816.
We located Mrs. David (Iona) Wainwright of Waveland, MS who is related to this family. On October 5, 1977, she told us that old “Aunt Becky Sones” was a McArthur
