Each year, members who attend bring a toy for the Toys for Tots campaign and non-perishable food for the Hancock County Food Pantry. Students at North Bay Elementary School collected 1,140 cans and other non-perishable food items from Dec. 5-18 for distribution to the needy. The students far surpassed their goal of 435 items, and doubled the amount collected last year. The food should serve about 500 people, school officials said. The food was donated to the Hancock Food Pantry. (Echo staff photo by Richard Meek)
