page N?>. 2 - Dr. Marion J. Wolfe Sr. Although he served as a round the clock physician, he was also very much a leader in the Hancock County community. He organized the Blood Bank in 1939, was President of the Merchants, and is currently serving as President of the Merchants Insurance Company. In his leisure time he is a avid gardener. fisherman and a fine ?2xixEr)qgagxKrx: j^CKdnfix. It is always a delight to pass his home and enjoy the lovely landscaping. connection Dr. Wolfe is best known for his xssraDect with St. Stanislaus College, If ever an alumnus loved his school and worked for it Dr. Wolfe would top the list. Since 1933 he has gone to the school almost every day to check on "his boys", and at no time of the day or night has he refused to go to them when he was needed. In 1973 he was elected to the College Hall of Fame. In order to have the boys participate in the honor he was invited to assembly on the day before the induction. As he entered the gynriasium there was complete pandemonium, when the hundreds of students rose cheering and clapping, demonstrating their overwelming love and respect for their friend. He stopped the show oy individually thanking and shaking with each boy. Dr. Wolfe is highly admired and respected by his colleagues, not only for his skill as a physician, but because of his dedication to his patients. He has a terrific personality and a keen sense of humor, and is a man who at all times has the courage of his convictions. The confidence he inspires in others has deserved the love and loyalty which he receives from the thousands of his patients, their families, and those who have had him for a family doctor during a lifetime.
