In 1833, this couple was living at the "Old Chimneys" Settlement on land purchased from 3F. Claude Christian Ladner and his wife Mary Ladner (HARCO DB 6 at pages 513/514). They later moved to Hancock County, Mississippi and on August 4, 1853 they sold their land at the "Old Chimneys" Settlement to William H. Teagarden (HARCO DB 6 pages 515/516).
You wonder, I am sure, how land bought in 1833 and sold in 1853 could have been recorded on consecutive pages in DB. 6! Immediately following the recording of the sale from Claude Ladner to the Garcias', the following is entered of record:
1.	The attestation of James Johnston, J.P. of Hancock County that Claude Ladner and Mary Ladner signed and delivered the Deed to the Garcias' on February 2, 1833. (Single affidavit for each)
2.	The attestation of Willis H. Arnold, Clerk of Court, Hancock County that said Deed was duly recorded March 18, 1833 in Deed Book B, pages 277 & 278.
3.	Attestation of L. Cleveland, Clerk of Court, Harrison County that said Deed was rerecorded in Harrison County in Deed Book 6, pages 513/514 on September 8, 1853.
3IF. MARIA ANASTASIA de CUEVAS, born 1805, was baptised December 8, 1805, the
daughter of Juan de Cuevas and Maria Helena Ladner (CIC-Mobile BB
2	p. 109). I believe that this person was deceased before 1849,
never married with no issue.
I make this statement based on the Agreement to emancipate John Picayune, Natar and her child Colet (see pps. 722/724) wherein all of the children and heirs of Juan de Cuebas/Cuevas and 31. Marie Helene Christian Ladner living at that date did sign and acknowledge that Agreement. If she was alive or had married and left heirs they would surely have joined in the Agreement.
3IG. MARIE SOLITELLE CUEVAS. I do not have a baptism record for her, but from census records, I believe that she was born c 1807. I do not have a marriage record, but she was married c 1830 to HENRY AUGUSTUS KROHN
In the baptism records of their first two children, he is identified as Henry Auguste Krohn, native of Hamburg, Germany, the son of Charles Frederick Krohn and Anne Elizabeth Rieben. They were the parents of ten (10) children.
There are 2 Deed records regarding the Krohn Homestead on Tchouticabouffa River, north of Biloxi, Mississippi that I believe would be of interest to the many, many descendants of this family, and they are:
