GIFTS AND GIVING:
The Three Year Pledge Plan
Generally we think in terms of a one time out of pocket gift but a three quarter of a million dollar goal can only be achieved by pledging a larger amount over a longer period of time - it is the most effective and satisfying gift giving for you, the donor, as well as for The Friends of Walter Anderson Capital Campaign. The three year pledge period permits you to budget your gift and extend the tax advantage.
Commemorative Giving
The Friends of Walter Anderson Capital Campaign offers a worthwhile opportunity to satisfy a basic human desire for doing something significant as memorializing a loved one in a special way. Recognition and memorial gifts are available and donors/designees will be appropriately recognized at their selected area of interest.
Tax Considerations
The Friends of Walter Anderson is a tax exempt organization qualifying under Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, all gifts to the Friends of Walter Anderson Capital Campaign are deductible, within limits, if one itemizes. Gifts may be given in a variety of ways: pledges, cash, stocks, bonds, property, life insurance, bequests and through planned giving instruments. Before determining the final form of your gift, consulting your tax adviser or legal counsel would insure that maximum tax savings are realized and that perhaps you might advantageously give more than originally considered.
