Hhave you heard from Brother recently? he spoke of coming out this winter, I hope he may do so. Pa will not be able to sell either of his places till financial affairs are easier. Consequently can not meet his engagements either here or at Nashville as he anticipated. S. 0. Nelson & Co have suspended payment. Ma I wrote to the Dr a few days since & told him to sell if possible any or all of my [illeg] &c and settle some of Pa'rs accounts for I know his creditors are very uneasy and only waiting to see him to pounce upon him. he fully expected to have been able to settle before this but I can not tell when he will be now. he is going to great deal of expence in moving &c Pa has written you severall letters recently. I will now close with love to all and a Christmas kiss tell dear sissy to write me a Christmas letter. I remain as ever
