My Great-Grandfather, Pops George Louis Seuzeneau
I recall as a boy of 6 years old spending the summer of 1966 in Bay St. Louis. I stayed with Clara and George Seuzeneau, Jr., my grandparents, on Keller Street, not far from Pop's tavern. One day, I strolled into the bar as if it was someone's house and asked for Pops who then told me I was too young to be there. I then got a whipping from my grandmother Clara but I remember George laughing about it. I don't have many memories of Pops but I enjoy that story.
The same summer of 1966, a movie was being filmed in Bay St. Louis called "This Property is Condemned" with Robert Redford and Natalie Wood. Sixteen or seventeen years passed since then when I was watching late night television when I started to have flashbacks and a sense of de ja vue. Sure enough, when the movie credits were shown, it was stated that the movie was shot in Bay St. Louis.
My other memories of Bay St. Louis are crabbing and fishing off of the Bay Bridge and the seawall in Waveland. Also, some great times spent as a boy at Bay Waveland Yacht Club before Hurricane Camille. Of course, Hurricane Camille is a profound memory. I remember walking the beach road and the total devastation it caused.
I	am sorry that I do not have any more hard data for you to work with. I have a few pictures of Pops and the family but that is all we have.
