TJ11S SEA COAST ECHO Sunday, March 24, 1991 Exchange Club holds second annual auction The Exchange Club of Hancock County will hold its Second Annual Fun Rais’n Auction Friday, May 3, 7 p.m., at the Hancock County Civic Center. Exchange Club president Gwen Myers said the auction will be held to raise furds for the support of the Exchange Clubs Family Child Center and other local ongoing child abuse prevention programs. Items to be auctioned may be viewed starting at 6:30 p.m. prior to the auction. Hot dogs, popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 6:30. Col. Bob Glover of Waveland has volunteered to be the auctioneer again this year. Auction committee chairperson Jeannie Deen of The Peoples Bank encourages all businesses in Hancock County and the surrounding area to donate products and services to be auctioned. These products and services may be of any type and value, and the donor will receive recognition for participating during the auction. . Area businesses will be contacted within the next few weeks by Exchange Club members to ask for their participation. Artists and other individuals with artwork or other items they are willing to donate are also urged to contact either Deen at 467-9296 or Jim Henrie at 467-9045. “Celebrity” items also will be auctioned. The Exchange Club, founded in 1911, is a national organization of men and women from all walks of life who have joined together voluntarily to serve their communities in a wide range of humanitarian and patriotic activities.
