•	1874 - Indianola. In the big 1874 Gulf of Mexico Hurricane, four of Moss Point/Pascagoula , schooners were damaged or lost. The Indianola, Capt. Davis, was bound to Pascagoula from Indianola with 5 horses, was caught by the storm 100 miles E. of Indianola - the wind being E. N. E. - was driven 25 miles east of Galveston, dismasted and losing sails, rigging, boats, &c., her decks being swept clean. She was towed into Galveston. She was owned by Denny & Co., Capt. Bloom
