Cemetery. She lived in Bayou La Croix all her life until 1963 when everybody was forced by the government to move out of that community. Manieri, Jr. - born July 20, 1948 c. Joey George Manieri - bom January 12, 1954 d. Susan Marie Manieri - bom April 9, 1957 F. Matthew Bertrand ?Mott? Zengerling - bom on August 17, 1869 in Bayou La Croix and died there on June 9, 1958. His baptismal record is at Our Lady of the Gulf Church in Bay St. Louis. He is buried in the Bayou La Croix Cemetery with a headmarker. He never married nor had any children. G. Frances Louise Zengerling - bom on January 26, 1872 in Bayou La Croix and died there on February 16, 1949. Her baptismal record is at Our Lady of the Gulf Church and it reads ?Louise Francisca Zengerling.? She is buried in the Bayou La Croix Cemetery with a headmarker. She never married nor had any children. H. Andrew Zengerling - bom on October 15, 1873 in Bayou La Croix and died there on January 19, 1951. His baptismal record is at Our Lady of the Gulf Church, and it reads ?Andrew Zengerling.? I. Rose Elizabeth Zengerling - born on March 27, 1876 in Bayou La Croix and died there on September 27, 1952. She is buried in the Bayou La Croix Cemetery with a headmarker. She never married nor had any children. J. Theresa Camillia ?Terese? Zengerling - born on October 13, 1880 in Bayou La Croix and died on January 14, 1966. She is buried in the Bayou La Croix Cemetery with a headstone. She never married nor had any children. You may have noticed that we have not given complete citations for every piece of information, especially census records. The reason simply being, it would have taken much longer to complete this history. There is enough information here that any ?rookie? genealogist can find the specific source if they make even a half-hearted effort. If anyone thinks this report is ?perfect? they will be disappointed. This type of research is much too complex. The ?questionnaires? we had completed in 1973, and updated in 2010, were submitted by close family members, and were often done from ?memory.? Because of this there are possibly some mistakes, especially with those born around 1930 and later. This is not to mention possible typing errors and mistakes we found in some of the many sources used.
