Generations of residents have known the de Montluzin family, which will celebrate its own
centennial of service to area residents in 1978.

SMALL BUSINESS
Governor Cliff Finch signed into law April 27 a bill raising the maximum loan available under the state?s Small Business Loan Guaranty Program to $50,000.
?I am very pleased that the maximum loan has been raised to $50,000,? Governor Finch stated. ?With this increase, it will be much easier for the small businessman to establish and maintain a business.?
Edward F. Mitcham, SB AD manager, said the new amount represents a $17,000 increase over the maximum loan available since the program?s inception in 1972.
As of May 31, 298 loans have been made in the amount of $6,290,000, meaning 720 new jobs in the state.

from the Mississippi American Revolution Bicentennial Commission. The object of the book, which will be distributed primarily through our state welcome centers, is to entice six to 12-year-olds to visit and learn about the many historic and fun places throughout the state.
In line with that objective, the book?s format includes carefully designed games and text written for the elementary level youngster, as well as illustrations on every page, all of which may be colored.
A great deal of thought, research and planning ? wait into the Children?s Guide and the P.A. Staff is pleased with the results.
