To all in and out of the organization who contributed so unstintingly of themselves to make this program a success, I wish to extend my thanks and appreciation. To me it represented a ?beautiful job of team work in true American spirit.
Judging by comments from some viewers it was an impressive collection and timely in its presentation during this bicentennial year. It was not without a light touch of humor in the picture shown for identification of the school children enrolled in the Logtown school about the year 1900; and pathos in the display centered around the portrait of Hermann Baxter and the Purple Heart awarded him posthumously (World War II).
To Lionel Baxter we of the Hancock County Historical Society extend our deep appreciation for permitting us to sponsor this exhibition for public viewing.
