Brother Linus, 65, is celebrating fifty years of service to lis order, which he joined in 1921. He took his first vows with he order in 1923 and his final /ows in 1929.
Brother Linus first came to Thibodaux in 1954, when he became assistant principal of Thibodaux College.
Alter attending Holy Trinity parochial schools and St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans, he received his Bachelor's degree from Loyola (New Orleans) in 1934 and a Master's degree from LSU in 1954. He has been continuing his education since 1962 by attending Loyola Saturday classes on a National Science Foundation grant.
Brother Linus? first teaching issignment was in 1924 at St. M&ysius School in Vicksburg,
Mississippi. Later he taught at Menard High School in Alexandria, at Cathedral High School in Vicksburg (Miss.) and in Thibodaux (1931-32), where he was assistant principal under Brother Emmanuel.
From 1932 to 1942, Brother Linus was principal and athletic director of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. From 1942 to 1949, he served as principal and vice president of St. Stanislaus High School in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
Until returning to Thibodaux in 1954, Brother Linus? assignments took him to Huntington, New York; McGill Institute in Mobile, Alabama; St. Francis in Houma, and again to St. Stanislaus.	*
