—Mrs. Alric Firment and Mrs. S. V. Bordelon drove down from Marksville La. ,on Saturday to assure themselves of the safety of their sisters and brother Mrs. G. Y. Blaize, Miss Carmelite Spotoirno and Louis N. C. Spotorno. They returned to their home on Monday.
—Monroe Cuevas, Sr., is a patient at Sanatorium. His condition is re ported improved.
—Mr. and Mrs. Fred Curet, Jr., nee Mary Ruth Favre, announce the arrival of a 7 Vz lb. boy, born September 25, 1947. The little one has been named James Larry.
—Mrs. Harold B. Weston has returned from Jackson where she attended the state meeting of the Womans Auxiliary of the Episcopal Church Guild. Mrs. Weston is sec retary of the Auxiliary.
—Mr. Joseph Kern was taken to New Orleans last week for medical treatment. He is still in the Foun dation Hospital but is reported much better and in good spirits. He sustained the loss of his left arm which was amputated on Friday of last week but he is standing it with his usual smile Mrs. Kern says.
—Mr. and Mrs. Pascal Caruso and their son Luke Caruso, have returned irom Birmingham, Alabama. The Carusos took their son Vincent P. Caruso to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to enter him in the University of Alabama. Vincent is a graduate of St. Stanislaus in the class of '46. the family went on from there to Birmingham for a visit to Mr. Caruso’s family.
