been conducting the Crescent City Stock Market making a specialty of handling Western Dressed Meats, as well as Hogshead Cheese, Pork and Blood Sausage. Mr. Toulme has served as Chief of Police of the town, and is the Counsul Commander of Cedar Grove Camp 507, W, O. W. since its institution here; he owns considerable property. It is gener-erally recognized by the citizcns that Mr. Toulme has given the city a wise and efficient administration.
A. J. CARVER the Sheriff and Tax Collector of Hancock County, was born and reared at Bay St. Louis; his father was one of the best known citizens of the County; as a surveyor, he officially surveyed all of Hancock County, these same surveys are recognized as official today. 1895, and in 1898 he was elected as Marshal of Bay St. Louis, serving four consecutive terms. Mr. Carver was elected Sheriff and Tax Collector in 1908, and when h is term expires he proposes devoting his time and attention to practical farming, as he is the owner of a very fine truck and poultry farm. Owning considerable realty at the Bay, Mr. Carver naturally takes a very lively interest in its future development.
