Mrs. W. W. Stockstill, taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade, all in same one room building, at Taylor school in Cedar Point in 1930's (the building is now the home of Bay Waveland Garden Club).
Rachel Tarver, Teacher at Bay High.
lone Tittsworth, Librarian at Bay High in late 1930's and early 40's.
Margarita Lopez Trellis, taught foreign language at Bay High in 1930 (married Lawrence Chapman, an old Bay family).
Mrs. Fred A. Wright, Substitute teacher at Bay High.
Florence Russ, taught in City School System.
Prior to the 1950's, Bay High housed all 12 grades, 1st thru 12th, in the building that currently faces 2nd St. between Carrol and Ulman Ave. All of the above named teachers served some part of the schools while I was a student 1929-1942.
Taylor School on Leonard Ave. served the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, grade classes for children in North Bay St. Louis. Webb School on Third Street (building still there) 5aved several lower grades in South Bay.
Valena C. Jones served the 12 classes for the colored people and was originally located on same plot of ground that Central Fire Station is located now except it was due east. The school was facing St. Francis St. midway between Bookter and Sycamore.
The three Holmes ladies, and Mabel Ishem, and B. J. Laneaux were members of prominent colored families in the Bay. They may have taught at Valena James School.
Mae Colson and Mae Edwards and Regina Blaize were from long time Bay St. Louis families, but I can't remember how they were connected with the city.
