DAWN
Have you ever watched the sky at the break of dawn
Whether it be in the spring, or on an autumn morn
Its beauty dazzles the human eye
And makes your heart feel that God is nigh
The colors blend from a rose to gold
Its celestial beauty is a wonder to behold
The purple haze, left from the twilight hours
Slowly blends, into the picture, thru fades away, somehow
MISS CAROLINE
It?s just a little cottage on the outskirts of the town;
Its roof is sort of slanty and it's kinda tumbled down.
The hollyhocks arc blooming along the old board walk.
And folks just love to linger around awhile and talk.
The rambling rose is climbing around the cottage door;
The pansies and the violets are blooming in galore.
The whole place seems enchanted: to me it is divine.
And it all belongs to dear Miss Caroline.
TO LOUISE ?TWILIGHT MEMORY?
Twilight time is here my love, and we will meet again Together we?ll walk side by side down through memory lane We?ll stop beside the little brook, and there recall a scene That once was ours my darling, when you were seventeen We threw a pebble in the stream, we made a wish and dream?d a dream As we walked on never smiled, until we reached the orchard stile. You looked at me. and then you said Come, autumn dear, we two will end I held you close, for will I know
