and later in Robertson Co., TX. He married Celia Neal on March 12, 1840 in Washington Co., TX. His children by Elizabeth Lee were: Sarah Ann and John Lott. An old Texas source says he was killed by Indians c. 1838 ( probably incorrect) near Killum, Springs Grimes Co., TX. This death information is found in a book “Indian Wars and Pioneers of Texas” p. 430-431, by John Henry Brown and published in 1880. A copy is in the University of Texas, Arlington, Library. This source said John and Jesse Lott came to TX ahead of their brother, Robert A. Lott who came in 1836.
Robert Alexander Lott - He was the primary subject in the above source by John H. Brown. His book was published in 1880, and we would think he got his information from living relatives of Robert. He says Robert A. Lott came to Washington Co., TX on December 25, 1836. He “came hither from Mississippi but was a native of Florida”. He was born October 10, 1797 near the city of Tallahassee, FL. He “died on January 3, 1861 at sixty-three years of age.” He married Susan C. Behn on January 17, 1828, and she died February 28, 1895 at age 84. She was born May 29, 1812 and the mother of ten children in Washington Co. One of their children was Jesse B. Lott, born April 1, 1842, and he married Augusta L. Lockett. The John Barron web site names the children of Robert Alexander Lott as: Royal Eugene, John Wesley, Mary J., Sarah, William Robert, Jesse B., James T., Ann Elizabeth, Laura, and Phraudius Kavanaugh Lott.
Jesse Lott - according to John H. Brown, Jesse came to Washington Co., TX with his brother, John Lott, a short time before their brother, Robert A. Lott arrived in
1836.	This source also said he died at San Antonio, TX in the “late 60's” (1860's). No further information on him, although he certainly lived long enough to have offspring.
Michael Lott - born c. 1814 in MS and married Susan (maiden name unknown).
They appear in the 1860 census of Washington Co., TX. Children were. John, Jesse, Robert, Sarah, Susan, and Margaret Lott.
VII.	Stephen Lott - born before 1789 based on the assumption that he was probably one of the older children when we find him traveling through Georgia on a “passport” on January 9, 1809 with brothers Robert and Amos Lott. His parents and younger siblings did not get their “passport” until February 10, 1810. Stephen Lott settled on 338 acres located in Section 5, T 6, R 18W, Hancock Co. (now Pearl River Co.) MS as found in the “American State Papers, Vol.3, p. 8.”
This record also shows that Stephen first settled on this land in May 1811, and the land was located on Reedy Creek (a small stream emptying into nearby Pearl River).
This property adjoined the land of Amos Lott and James McArthur and was in walking distance to the property of John, Jacob, and Solomon Lott. He was also given a “Spanish” title to this land on June 15, 1810. Stephen had to be at least age 21 in 1810 for him to legally receive a land grant, thus making him bom in 1789 or earlier.
