AUNT NANIET and UNCLE BOY I was 20 when Aunt Naniet died. I remember her clearly. I knew Aunt Naniet and Uncle Boy very well. I do not recall her sister, my grandmother, very well. I was five at the time she died. I recall that they looked alike, at least at the age I knew them. Although our grandmother was nine years older than Aunt Naniet, I remember them both with snow white hair and large goiters. Aunt Naniet was lovable. She sort of laughed as she talked. I remember Uncle Boy as serious and quiet. I don't recall him as stern as Lucille, his daughter, writes. But then, I didn't know him as well as she. I guess the time I was around him was more formal than everyday activities. The bakery I recall well. As a child I thought to own your own bakery was the height of happiness. I enjoyed many donuts from the display cases. I knew Leonide, Juliette and Lucille very well. They were the cousins my mother and Blanchard aunts and uncles were the closest to in their life. I knew Leonide and Juliette all of my life. Teen and Elvie loved them dearly and visited often. After Daddy died, Leonide and Juliette often spent the weekend with Teen. I would meet them at the Greyhound bus station, and on a few occasions drive them to Bay St. Louis. After Teen died I continued to call on Leonide and Juliette each time I visited Bay St. Louis. The last time I saw them was at Buoy's funeral in 1987. When I attended Mary's funeral in 1990, they were not present. I spoke with Leonide's daughter, Carol, who informed me both were too ill for visitors. Leonide died one year later and Juliette two months after Leonide. I recall Lucille very well from my childhood days. She played with Gloria and me. After she left for Wisconsin I never saw or communicated with her. Leonide and Juliette gave news of her each time I saw them -------- married in Fond du Lac, nice growing family. After forty years I contacted Lucille and we have picked up where we left off. Louise and I have been to see her once and look forward to future visits. She showed me a picture of Louise and me that had appeared in the newspaper years ago where Leonide had written her some details of my life. I met Leonide's three children and knew them casually. I have renewed contact with Carol and Kay in doing this family research. I do not recall the Perre boys at all. Considering the many visits we made to Bay St. Louis, I'm sure as a little boy I was in their presence. I would hear Teen, Elvie, Buoy, Zief and Martin speak of them often. I must confess I didn't even know the number of sons or their names (I only heard Toto). When I began this family tree I had to contact Marti to clarify names and number of sons.
