Reverend E. L. Moore of Mobile, Alabama, Reverend T. A. Jones of Purvis, Mississippi and Dr. T. L. Jordan of Mobile, Alabama served for a short period of time, respectively. The next pastor was Reverend H. H. Lowe of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Reverend Lowe was a man of deep convictions on Christian doctrine . He was energetic, jolly and friendly, always willing to give a helping hand to someone in need. At the time of his death, his pastorage had lasted for 26 years. Later the church was served by Reverend McWillis of Louisiana and Reverend M.J. Madison. Following a short time later was the Reverend J. W. Lee of Pearlington, Mississippi, who was then Moderator of the Gulf Coast Missionary Baptist Association. It was during Reverend Lee?s seven years as pastor that the church was destroyed by a hurricane. After efforts to rebuild the church failed, Reverend Lee moved to Oakland, California. Reverend S. T. Peters of Slidell, Louisiana was called as the next pastor. He was successful in holding the congregation together and plans were made to the rebuild the new structure. In April 1950 the present dwelling was completed. Reverend Peters pastored for more than 15 years before moving to California. From 1964 to 1968 the church was pastored by the Reverend Jessie L. Trotter. Reverend Trotter was a masterful preacher. He led the church to expand by adding an educational department, dining facilities, fellowship hall and a pastor?s study. The Reverend Harvey Leggett of Slidell, Louisiana was elected as the next pastor. Reverend Leggett was very versatile, in that he could perform equally as well directing a choir, or playing an organ as well as he could preach. During his pastorage the Baptistry was completed. Reverend Leggett served until June 1970, at which time he moved to Detroit, Michigan.
