Mr. Stokoe at a leter time became vice-president. Mr. Jospeh 0. Mauffray served the bank as president a number of years, until he resigned.
R. R. Perkins became president of the bank soon after it had moved into its own building and continued as such for many years until the time of his death on December 10, 1915*
Mr. Sptoorno resigned to take a position with the turpentine interests at Neworleans, and he was succeeded by George J. Muller as assistant cashier, a position he held for seven years until he resigned to move back to New Orleans.

The ««ent was duly celebrated with an open house recption to the public.
A souvenir folder, especially gotten out for the occasion was presented to each individual.

Charles L. Hopkins, R. R. Perkins, Joseph G. Mauffray, and George R. Rhea.

Donald, E. N. Haas, Chas. H. Robinson Jr., Paul Villere, Geo. T. Herlihy, who at the time of his death was chairman of the board of directors.
To serve the public better and to grow with the times, the name of Merchants Bank was changed to Merchants Bank & Trust Company by amendment to the charter, January 6, 1920. For a number of consecutive years the bank paid stockholders a semi-annual dividend of 30 per cent.
Mr. Charles G. Moreau succeeded Mr. kGeorlg Rhea as president upon feiiB resignation in 1932. Mr. Moreau also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors, having served in that capacity since the death of the late Geo. T. Herlihy. Mr. Moreau is assisted in the operation of the bank by Mr. Joe B. Burrow, who is cashier, having succeeded Mr. W. V. Yates, who resigned to take a position at Jackson Miss with the FRA. The other officers of the bank are W. J. Gex, Hr., and Emilio Cue, vice-presidents. *
