Dear Ma
I now seat my-self to write a few lines [illeg], as I flatter my-self you would like to hear from me, it will be handed to you by Pa as he will start in the morning for old Tennessee a state that I am anxious to see once more, Although there is no attractions for me excepting my relations. I never expect to [spend] any more such pleasent days as I have at our old home, there never will be another such place as that. If I owned that nothing would induce me to leave it, if I made only a comfortable support it would be all I wished, but it is useless to speak of it any more, nothing can be done now. Andrew is still with me and sayes he will remain till he hears from Aunt Jane, he does not intend [buing].
All are well and doing well. I will not say any thing more as Pa will tell you how every thing is progressing.
Pa received a letter from you a day or two since which was read with much interest. You wished me to write often. I have not missed a week since I have been hear, without writing to some one of the family, some times twice and even three times a week. Give my love to all and except the same
