On the Internet, I learned that indeed, March Held is not only still in existence and active, but there is actually a March Held Air Museum there! I spoke with Colonel Bob Miller, museum director, tel. (909) 697-6601. lie informed me that the plane in which Henry B. Chapman taught pursuit pilots was definitely the lennv. You asked me to-learn about this and contact you.

Colonel Miller said that he would like to have a copy of Henry B. Chapman?s display that is in your museum, recognizing that March Held was constructed in 1918, Pop taught pursuit pilots there, and pursuit pilot instruction is the very first thing that took place there. furthermore, pursuit pilot training was indeed the purpose of constructing the field.
If you would please send the copy of l.t. Chapman?s display to me, I would be happy to forward it to Col. Miller. Or if you prefer, you may forward it directly to him.
