As we begin this new year, 1984, our church is still moving forward in missions. The Lottie Moon Christmas offering amounted to $3,500.00. Our church budget this year was one hundred fifty thousand dollars. Our Radio Broadcast Ministry still continues at the cost of three hundred seventy five monthly. Sam Wilbourn, Sunday School Superintendent, recognized and thanked all workers of the past year. With 340 enrolled, he challenged the church to increase our enrollment by ten	per cent	during	the	year.
Margaret DeHaan received a pin for seventeen years of perfect attendance in Sunday School. On	August 12, 1984 Robert	White
resigned as Minister of Youth. During July a printed resolution concerning abortion was distributed to the congregation. Later it was voted on and accepted by the church. The pastor commented that the Women's Clinic for performing abortions would be opening soon. During June it was announced that Jack Hode would be entering the New Orleans Theological Seminary in September. A letter approving and supporting this was given by the church. Also, we pledged our prayer support. During October the Dodsons made a Mission Trip to Kenya. The church backed this trip by generous donations for medicine and	supplies.	Several	men	made a
trip to Michigan to help build a church.
Early in 1985 John Bolian received the proposal for improvements in the building that had been proposed the preceding year. Four phases were outlined as follows:	(1) New classroom
building, (2) Remodel Fellowship Hall for extra dining room space, (3) Remodel second floor of existing classroom building, (4) Remodel balcony. The total cost was estimated at $142,000.00 The
