SIXTY TWO-YEARS-AGO—The late Msgr. A. J. Gmelch, front row center, former pastor of Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, gathers in front of the church April 24, 1921 with his team of fund raising parishoners who solicited some $30,000 to furnish the interior of the ediface which was erected in 1908 on the same site as an original structure destroyed by fire Nov. 16,1907.
