The characters w*re by Col. C., as Sultan, vhose physique and costume were admirably suited to the occasion. The Misses E. N. and Mary C., Susie Z., the Misses S., a galaxy of loveliness enhanced by picturesque costumes, rate to the eye, and difficult to duplicate for t like occasion in any locality.
Dance
The entertainment closed with a dance, "La Cachuca," by pretty little Miss Lula J., who was rapturously applauded.
Following the tableau, refreshments were dispensed on the lawn and dancing in the hall.
Contrlbutors
It is proper to say Col. Jack Wharton was Treasurer of the affair, and his happy humor and wit enlivened the entire evening's enjoyment. Poor fellow, his exertions were too much; he has been laid up with a billious attack since.
