It's interesting, too, how many families were "tied together" due to the river and the schooners. My understanding is that Francisco Antonio Netto who married Florentine Doby was associated with her father Jean Baptiste Doby through their ventures on the river. I'll plunderthrough some of my Netto-Doby information, make copies, and send you what I have. Could you send me your mailing address?

Before getting into above subject, I want to thank you and your kind relatives for allowing me to meet with all of you and to share your reunion experience. It is evident that the fine, strong character of Christian and Annette have been passed on through the years.
I am pleased to report that I have been able to add to what we know about Sarah, wife of Henry Gabriel.
As background, the following is from my file of probate records, specifically those of Thomas Doby:
It would appear that Thomas died just prior to 1850, as he does not show in the census for that year. An inventory made by Samuel White in Dec. 1850 includes the two sections of land
