MATHIAS (LUNDGREN) FAMILY BIBLE
The following is a typed version of the Green family Bible. When we first saw the original Bible, it was in the possession of Mathias’ granddaughter, Lillian Green Sportomo, living in Bay St. Louis, MS in 1972. We made photocopies, but they were very dark and hard to read. We studied the original copies and wrote what was written on plain paper. The Bible next went to one of her cousins, Daniel “D. V.” Green, of New Orleans, LA. The old Bible next went to another cousin, Sidney Avants, of Metairie, LA. He made some good copies and recently emailed them to us. Sidney has since given the original copies to his cousin, Clifton “Mike” Green, of Jefferson, LA. We have recently been in touch with Mike, and he does in fact have the original four pages of the Green Bible containing the various births, marriages, and deaths for various Green family members. The Bible itself has been lost at some point prior to his coming into possession of the four pages - possibly when the Bible was in the possession of his uncle, D. V. Green. We will now type verbatim what these four pages contain:
