I LOVE THE QUIET OF A SUMMER DAY
I love the quiet of a summer day A Robin singing a round a bay I love to watch the leaves as they sway To the melody of the breeze
I love to watch the sun beams play
At hide and seek in the woodland gay
And the cricket that sings in his quaint little way
On the quiet of a summers day
I love the quiet of a summer night A starlit heaven, a moon in its flight And to be alone, mid the reverie of a beautiful memory
I thank thee god-for my two eyes Thou hast given me.
That I might sec. the sun?s bright ray The flowers gay
The things I love throughout the day The little stars up in the sky,
The lovely moon that shines on high The sleepy birds that homeward fly I thank thee God for my two ears that I may hear
The voices that to me are dear The rolling waves along the shore A friendly knock upon my door I thank thee God-
I THANK THEE GOD
