With the above, we can conclude that Joseph Morin and his wife, Louise, died between 1802 and 1805 and probably on Cat Island. For their death dates I will use "about 1804" until something more specific can be found.
Joseph Morin, his ancestors, and his descendants for several generations spelled their last name as "Morin." Then, in the middle 1800's most of his descendants started spelling the name as "Moran" and this the most common spelling used today.
