One	additional child was born	to Jane Ann and that was Herbert Rickard as will	be
covered soon. Nicholas Rickard died in Schoharie, Schoharie Co., NY as found in his will/probate records in that county (Will Book 9, p. 418-420). The will was dated January 28, 1874, and probate was opened on December 21, 1874 meaning he died between those two dates in 1874. Heirs named were: his wife (does not name her), sons, Stephen, Elijah, James, and Origin Rickard, and daughters, Elizabeth Crosby and Hester (Ester) Ann Crosby. Children of Nicholas Rickard are:
I.	Anna Jane Rickard - born May 23, 1836 according to information found in the book, "The Rickert Kindred". No further information found.
II.	James Rickard - born 1836 per 1850 census of the Town of Schoharie, NY.
He was still living in 1874 when his father's will was opened. He was born on June 23, 1837 at Schoharie, NY and married Betheny Baker on October 14, 1864 in Berne,	NY.
III.	Ester "Ann" Rickard - born	November 30,	1838	in	the	Town of Schoharie,
NY and married Charles Crosby as already covered. She is also listed in her father's will.
IV.	Origin Rickard - born 1841 according to the 1850 census of Schoharie.
He died in	1916. He	is listed in the 1870 Census of Schoharie as age	28
with wife,	Nancy and	son, Nicholas, age 1. He is listed in his father's
will and married Nancy Mattice on August 27, 1864 at the Lutheran Church of Berne, NY.
V.	Elizabeth "Lizzie" Rickard	- born July	11, 1844	per	her Baptismal
Record at Dutch Reformed Congregation Church	in	Schoharie, NY. The
record names her parents as "Nicholas Rickard and Almira Kenney". She married Seth W. Crosby, brother to above Charles Crosby. Seth died "June 1870", and she is back in her father's home in the 1870 census.
She is also named in her father's will.
VI.	Stephen Rickard - born 1848 per 1850 census of Schoharie, NY. He is
listed in his father's will of 1874. He appears in the 1880 Census of Schoharie as age 31 (1849) with wife, Belle, age 30 and one daughter, Lizzie Rickard, age 2. In the 1900 Census, he is living in Binghamton, NY and born "August 1847" with same wife and child.
VII.	Elijah Rickard - born 1852 per 1860 census of Schoharie, NY, living with
parents, Nicholas and Jane A. Rickard. His baptismal record at the Schoharie Reformed Church says he was born in "Oct. 1850", and it names his parents as "Nicholas and Jane Ann Rickard". His baptism was on January 25, 1855. He is also listed in his father's will.
