On 17 September ,to establish radar, a reinforced company made an unopposed landing ot Cape Wajaboela and reinforced platoons londed on the islands of Ngeie Ngele, Dodolo, ond Mitito.
The 31st Divis?on, with the 126 Infantry in Reserve , made unopposed landings at 0830, 15 September. On the following doy the task force reached its final objective against light resistance.
