The Mississippi Coast Historical & Genealogical Society, joined by the Jackson County Genealogical Society, the Ocean Spring*? Genealogical Society, the Pass Christian Historical Society, and the Hancock County Historical Society, are sponsoring Mississippi Coast History Week to promote awareness of the colorful Gulf Coast History.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12
Jackson County History and Jackson County 1912 School Records books will he sold at Singing River Mall by the Jackson County Genealogical Society and the Ocean Sprintgs Genealogical Society.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13

A marker funded by the Mississippi Coast Historical & Genealogical Society honoring d'lberville and Bienville will be dedicated south of the Biloxi Lighthouse by officials of the city of Biloxi and the MCHGS.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15
Mississippi Coast Historical & Genealogical Society 7:30 pm
"An Evening of History" will be held at the Biloxi Library & Cultural Center. Presentations will be given by Edmond Boudreaux on Archaeology On the Coast, Dr. Val Husley on Life in Colonial Biloxi, and Dr. Gregory Waselkov on Archaeological Work at the 1702 Fort Louis Site of French Mobile.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15
Jackson County Genealogical Society 7:30 pm
Mr. Michael Beard of the Mississippi State Archives will speak on Historic Preservation at the Pascagoula Library, Pascagoula, MS.

A coloring book, "Color Your Mississippi Gulf Coast History, " produced, compiled, and donated by the Mississippi Coast Historical and Genealogical Society, will be distributed to all first grade student'; in Hari ison, Hancock, and Jackson Counties.
The Mississippi Coast Museum of Art has encouraged teachers to have their students draw and color the Mississippi State Flower and State Bird. Outstanding drawings will be displayed in the Mississippi Coast Museum during Mississippi Coast History Week.
