interest for a period of five years. Loan payments would be made by Bayside Baptist Mission and property would be deeded to them when the mission became a church.
In February 1988 Mary Lee and Uless Bergeron took the place of Chaplain Lonnie Knight as Area Coordinator for Mission Service Corps. They will continue as Association Consultant for Missions. The church adopted the Southern Baptist expanded Annuity Plan for participation by its minister which became effective on January 1st, 1988. Our budget for this year has risen to $222,300. A Reversion Clause Agreement for Bayside Mission was adopted. Should the church ever cease to be a cooperating Southern Baptist Church, ownership shall revert to the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. On March 13,	1988 the last service of the church was broadcast.
During April a new roof was put on the Parsonage. We honored our pastor, Nathan Barber, on his fourteenth anniversary with us. On May 1, Keith Appling resigned as part-time Minister of Youth, and was replaced by Jack Hode. The Director of V.B.S., Gail Carr, reported in June that two hundred eighty four had enrolled, (counting sixty eight workers). Average daily attendance was two hundred forty four; offering $160.00; and seven decisions made to accept Jesus Christ. With deep regret the church accepted the resignation of Don Creel as pastor of Bayside Mission on August 21, 1988. During November the church received $10,000 donation from Collins C. Diboll Foundation which was to be used for benevolent causes.
Our church started the new year, 1989, with a budget of $196,200.00. Lottie Moon Christmas Offering was set at a goal of $6,100. During February our pastor, Nathan Barber, taught for two
