Driver's Licenses New residents must apply for a Mississippi driver's license within 60 days after establishing residence in Mississippi. A person with a valid out-of-state driver's license will not have to take a road test but must take a written test and an eye exam. First time drivers must also take a driving test in addition to the written and eye exams.
A regular driver's licenses costs $20 (cash) and is valid for four years.
