OCEAN SPRINGS SPRAYS
Ocean Springs, Aug. 16, 1888
As announced in the "Picayune" some days ago, Rev. Father Bohmert's fair came off at this place last Monday and Tuesday nights, Aug. 13-1*+), and was a grand success financially and socially.
Nearly all the New Orleans people summering here attended and helped in no small degree to make the affair the success it was. The hall in which the entertainment was given is a wooden structure well adapted for such purposes of this kind and is known as Firemen's Hall.
Decorations
A committee of ten young ladies and gentlemen of Ocean Springs and New Orleans decorated the hall in an appropriate manner. St. Michael's Catholic Club of New Orleans kindly tendered their services and performed their respective parts in a creditable way, Messrs. Bishop, Callahan and Haggerty winning especial applause.
