Cradle Club Holds Moonlight Sail Race
The Cradle Club met in the parlors of the Ocean Springs Hotel last ni^ht and twelve members signed the roll to participate in all amusement enterprises planned by its president, Mr. F. Fry, then and there unanimously elected. Mr. Andy Whalen and James Cassidy were chosen vice president and treasurer.
Immediately after the election the pleasure commenced with a moonlight sail, in which the sloops Maggie and Joe, manned by the Cradle Club members and their lady friends, made a cruise among the islands.
The sail finished with a race home. After a two hours straight head wind sail the Maggie won, and the expense of the trip fell on the occupants of the Joe, as was agreed upon at the start.
