He was deacon of the church from 1666 until he died and was always known as "Deacon" Haynes. He made a will in Sudbury, Massachusetts, October 1, 1692. John's will was probated in Sudbury, Massachusetts, March 29, 1697. John died about 1697 in Sudbury, Massachusetts. 149 Dorothy Noyes: She married John Deacon Haynes in Sudbury, Massachusetts, October 13, 1642. Roper: She resided in Charlestown, Massachusetts. 152 John Baker: John was bom about 1633 in probably England. He married fellow servant Susanna Martin in Wobum, Massachusetts, May 28, 1654. John was whipped and sentenced to marry Susanna, having impregnated her out of wedlock while most of the community was off at militia training for the day. Susanna at first refused to marry John as ordered by the court, but after their child was bom she finally consented. John died November 6, 1695 in Wobum, Massachusetts. 153 Susanna Martin: She married John Baker in Wobum, Massachusetts, May 28, 1654. John was whipped and sentenced to marry Susanna. Their first child, John, was bom before the marriage took place. 154 Increase Winn: Increase was bom December 5, 1641 in Wobum, Massachusetts. Increase is recorded as the first white child bom in Wobum. He married Hannah Sawtell in Wobum, Massachusetts, July 13, 1665. Increase died December 14, 1690 in Wobum, Massachusetts, at 49 years of age. In the administration of his estate, it states that he died December 12. This is at odds with the Wobum vital records which say December 14.
