in the 1860 St. Louis, MO census with parents. He is also listed in the 1870 census of East St. Louis, St. Clair Co., IL with parents. In the 1880 census of St. Louis, Missouri, we find ?Jacob Sinders,? age 33, bom in Baden with wife, Mary, age 32, and children - Sophia 5, Jacob 3, and Conrad 2. In the 1900 census of St. Louis, we now find Mary Sinder, age 52 as a ?widow.? Also in the house is son, Conrad, age 21, and daughter Emma, age 13. In the 1920 census of St. Louis, MO, we find George Bemmer (spelling?), age 34 with wife, Emma, age 31 with children Martha, age 14, Vraney (spelling?) daughter, age 13, and Sophie, age 3 4/12. Also in the home is Jacob Sinders, age 43 ?brother-in-law?
C.	Conrad Sunder-bom August 10, 1845. The 1880 census of St Louis, MO shows a ?Conrad Sinder,? age 35, bom in Baden. His wife is Mary Sinder, age 27, and children -- Conrad 7, Henry 4, and Lottie 1. Conrad shows up again in the 1910 St. Louis, MO. census as ?Conrad Sinders,? age 64, bom in Germany with wife, Mary, age 65. They again appear in the 1920 census of St. Louis, MO.
D.	Gottfried Sunder-b. September 9, 1847, d. January 1, 1852.
E.	Susanna Sunder - b. August 8, 1850 and immigrated to America in 1854. She is listed in the 1860 census of St. Louis, MO with parents.
F.	Gottfried Sunder - b. January 7, 1853 and immigrated to America in 1854. He is listed in the 1860 St. Louis, MO census with parents. He is also listed in the 1870 census of East St. Louis, St. Clair Co., IL with parents.
G.	Louis Sunder - bom c. January 1860 in ?St. Louis? as he and his family are found in the 1860 census of St. Louis, MO. He was age 6/12 in July of 1860.
Once in America, Heinrich Sunder (1816) moved to St. Louis, MO, where he appears in the census of 1860 with wife, Eva, and six children. The census record even states they (except Louis) were from ?Eppingen, Bad.? In the 1870 census of East St. Louis, St. Clair Co., Illinois, we find ?Henry Sanders,? age 53 (1817), bom in Baden and a farmer. He was with wife, EfFie, age 50, born in Baden and children - Jacob 26, Conrad 24, Gottfried 17, and Louis 11.
HI. Jacob Sunder - b. May 10, 1819 in Eppingen and immigrated to America according to the church record. He first shows up in the 1860 census of Bowling Green, Clay Co., Indiana as ?Jacob Sinder,? age 39, bom in Baden and was a ?shoemaker.? His wife listed was Mary Ann Sinder, age 22, born in Ohio. He next shows up in the 1880 census of Bond Co., Illinois as Jacob Sinder, age 60, farmer, bom in Baden. His wife is Mary, age 42, bom in Ohio. He now has three children, all born in Indiana - Annie 10, John 7, and Susan 5.
In the 1900 census of Clay Co., Indiana, we have the home of Samuel Tilford, bom July 1854 in Indiana with wife, Susana, born December 1874 in Indiana and he has two children from a previous marriage - Alford, son, born August 1884 and unnamed son, bom May (?) 1889. Also in the house is ?Jacob Sinder? born ?May 1819? in Germany. He is listed as ?father-in-law,? a shoemaker and could read, write, and speak English. It also says he was not married at the time of the census, and he ?immigrated? to America in 1850.
Susan Lindberg in her research on this family states that Jacob Sinder married Mary Jane McGinnis on February 2, 1860 in Clay Co., Indiana. He died in 1901 in Clay Co. and is buried in the Old Bowling Green Cemetery. His children listed are:
