XII.	John Henry Sharp-born on April 3, 1899, and died in 1962 in New Orleans.
He married Pearl Sartor and lived in New Orleans, LA. They had one girl, called Ruby, who married (first name forgotten) Weber and lived in New Orleans, LA.
XIII.	Thomas D. Sharp - born November 11, 1901. Mr. Sharp did not list this uncle of his in the letter, but told us about him in a phone conversation. He married twice and lived in New Orleans, LA where he died on February 26, 1961. He had one son, Thomas Jr., by his first marriage. This son moved to Florida.
XIV.	Floyd Sharp - born May 12, 1905, married and lived in California. He had one child.
XV.	Daniel Sharp - born on September 21, 1907, based on the death date of his mother. He died at about 6 months old.
Pauline told us that her mother, Samantha, had a second child by Mathias Green. Her name was Anesta, and she died as an infant. We presume she is buried on the old Mathias Green place. For more information on Mathias Green and his children, see our research titled ?The Mathias (Lundgren) Green Family of Hancock County, Mississippi.? Sometime around 1867 Mathias Green died, and by February 25, 1869, Samantha had married a second time to John Rhodes. This record is in the Hancock County Courthouse. According to the 1880 census of Mandeville, LA., John Rhodes was bom in Pennsylvania in 1819. His occupation listed there was an ?Oyster Fisherman.? He, his wife, and his children are also listed in this census. Mr. Edgar Sharp, Jr. told us that they called him ?Catfish John,? and the entire family was oyster fishermen. One of John?s grandchildren, Charley E. Rhodes of Bay St. Louis, told us his grandfather was from the ?East Coast,? and that John first came to New Orleans, LA where he was an engineer that helped build ?dry-docks? for boats in New Orleans. John was supposed to have other brothers or sisters on the east coast of the U.S., but he was the only one that came South. Pauline Heitzmann, daughter of Samantha, told us that John Rhodes was ?mean to her Mother.? She told us that he made Samantha sleep in the yard on many occasions and that John was responsible for the death of two of the Rhodes children. He supposedly threw one infant on the floor in a rage, and it later died of internal injuries. Another child died when John refused to let Samantha take it to the doctor.
Exactly how and where Samantha met John Rhodes is unknown, but it was probably in Hancock County. It seems that shortly after their marriage in 1869, they moved to Mandeville, LA. This is evidenced by the place of birth of Samantha?s first two children, twins - Mary Sophelia and Louisa, who were bom in ?1871 in Louisiana? according to the 1880 census of Mandeville John and Samantha lived in Mandeville until his death on November 29, 1881, as found on his Louisiana Death Certificate.
When Samantha moved to Mandeville with her new husband, John Rhodes, she brought only her daughter, Mary Josephine Green with her. The other Green children remained in Hancock County. By John Rhodes, Samantha had at least six children, four reached adulthood, and all were born in Louisiana according to the 1880 Mandeville, LA census.
