Parents listed were ?Bartholomaus Sengerling and Anna Maria Tillen.? Joseph married Maria Franzisca Weber (Wewer on some records) in Gehrden on February 10, 1794. His occupation was ?Brantweinbrenner? which translates to - operator of a brandy distiller and its storage cellar. Their children will be discussed shortly.
Maria Franzisca Weber was bom on February 14, 1771 in Gehrden according to her church death record. The record says she died in Gehrden on November 19, 1819. She was the daughter of ?Johannes Wewer and Eva Maria Poppen.? ?Johannes Wewer and Eva Maria Poppen? were married in Gehrden, Germany on February 2, 1766.
Bartholomaus Sengerling (Zangerly on some records) was bom on August. 21, 1721 in Gehrden, Germany to Johannes Zangerly and Maria Agnes Piper. He married on May
9,	1751 in Gehrden to Anna Maria Tillen and was a farmer by trade. He died in Gehrden on May 28, 1775 at the age of 54. Anna Maria Tillen was born in Niesen, Germany, a small town near Gehrden. She was the daughter of Engelhard Tillen and Elisabeth Shafers, also of Niesen. Bartholomaus Sengerling and Anna Maria Tillen had seven children:

28,	1818 in Gehrden and married there on November 13, 1787 to Maria Magdalena Elsing. Their children were:
