fi o Crmuv nn LeA^e For Donna Lynn Riviere, a childhood dream has become the reality of her life sis an artist on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Growing up in New Orleans, she was surrounded by art and aspired to one day work as an artist. It was not until her own children were in school that she began to pursue her dream tind taught herself to paint. ^Working as a painter and photographer, Donna has received numerous commissions for portraits and personal photographs. Encouraged by her fiusband, she currently paints at her studio at the Lumberyard Art Center in Bay St. Louis. The inspiration for Dolphins came rather by chance. Donna was taking photos of the broken piers retlected in the still waters with the new Bay of St. Louis Bridge under construction in the background. “The water that day was as smooth as ice until a large school *j| fish came into the bay chased by hungry dolphins. It was at that moment, as the dolphins broke the surface, t-nergized, leaping and diving, that I realized the life we all k==^w before the storm was on its way back.” tsonna Lynn Riviere is living her dream in Bay St. Louis, «i community she sees as remarkable as the artists tf irmselves. “By being in this art community, 1 am living my (ircum, the dream 1 had when 1 was young and believed ttut all things were possible. And isn't it amazing as an adult to discover this to be true!” i i
