Mrs. A. ?.Fournier Bay St. Louis, Miss.
My dear Mrs. Fournier:
when I think about the countless things you did for me at convention, and ftid everything so willingly and so well, I doubt if I could have gotten through without you. That first day I wasn’t strong. I had to gather strength, and yon did so much, so very much, to relieve me. And what an important factor you even this soon seem to be in our state work. I have a feeling of security, if you are watching proceedings, knowing that you could, and would readily save any situation. And you are always right there wnen a conference,or silent work,is necessary.
That delightful lunch you gave me was the only one I ever had time to eat except at functions. I never saw the dining room again. I ordered toast, or oatmeal, or some simple food every day, but seldom had time to eat more than a few mouthfuls .
3ut it was all joyously delightful and the ending of a glorious year. Most of the King's Daughters Conventions are held in churches where we sing and pray and have a luncheon each day. Our success proves that our organization is popularised by the introduction of the social element.
I hope you will ask Mrs. Willis to meet you sometime in Hew Orleans and tell her all about itx- its beauty, and charm, and the wonderful gains. I’ll give you facts and figures.
I feel verr sure of continued success. I received only the office, but Mrs. Earding will get from me files, records, prospects, plans and departments. I had to raise a sinking^ ship. She guides a fast sailing vessel. She is capable, attractive and interested, and I am going to aid her whenever I can, so I feel 1929 will be the best year we have ever had.
