As you wander about this glorious home that has been so beautifully restored, we hope you enjoy viewing the magnificent antique furniture and accessories.
In the Main Hall are samples of Empire and New Orleans style furniture, mostly from Ann's Place Antiques of Pearl River, Louisiana. Most of the accessories are from Bay Emporium of Bay Saint Louis.
In the Parlor you will see some fine examples of Victorian style parlor furniture. Most of these pieces and accessories are from The Blue Rose Antiques of Pass Christian.
As you pass into the Library, the beautiful roll-cylinder desk and mahogany bookcase are from Atlantic Empire Antiques of Waveland.
In the Dining Room are exquisite examples of American Empire style and English Queen Anne furniture and accessories from the galleries of Countryside Antiques of Waveland. The original oil paintings are from G & S Studio Antiques.
On the Back Porch (which can hardly be called a porch), the informal family dining set is a beautiful nine piece turn of the century dining set from the Capital Antiques of Gulfport, Mississippi.
Upstairs in the Master bedroom, the focal point is an
American Four-Poster Walnut and Curly-Walnut Tester Bed signed on each piece by " J. Himmb".
Circa 1845-1855. This bed is original to Onward Oaks and is rare and unusual due to the fact that it stands in excess of 11 feet tall and will accommodate a "queen size” mattress. The bed was purchased from The Kingsley House several years ago and was located in the room directly below where it is now. The bed and armoire are courtesy of Countryside Antiques of Waveland, Mississippi
In the Children's room, you will find some lovely turn of the century pieces as well as an Iron Bed. These items are provided by Gather Ye Rosebuds. Original oil paintings are by Jeanne Warner.
The next bedroom contains classic examples of Victorian and French design. The small sofa is beautifully hand-stitched needlepoint with a center medallion back. The bed and dresser are courtesy of Capital Antiques of Gulfport, Mississippi
As you move to the bedroom to the rear of the house you will see beautiful Empire Mahogany furniture including a magnificent single door Armoire. The twin beds and tilt-top table are from Ann's Place of Pearl River, Louisiana. The Armoire is courtesy of Capital Antiques of Gulfport, Mississippi
The last bedroom contains a beautiful French Day Bed from Blue Rose Antiques of Pass Christian, Mississippi.
