BILOXI
The figures furnished by the County Assessor to the Sheriff for the collection of taxes in Biloxi disclose some interesting facts.
So far as shown by the record there is not a pistol, dirk, boyieknife, or sword .cane possessed in the entire city 'of Biloxi.
There are 375 carriages, wagons and other vehicles; 3P5,horses,
35 mules and bj head of cattle.
The entire valuation of property is given to the Assessor is 5206,181.10.
The number of polls given the Assessor is 1,072, and the number of pianos, organs, etc., is returned at lU6.
The entire	amount of	capital invested in merchandise as returned by
the Assessor is	$100,978,	and employed in manufacturing	is $*+0,100.
The amount	of money,	notes, certificates, gold and	silver loaned
or	on deposit is returned	by the Assessor as SW8,502.
The total amount of assessment of personal property assessed is $*+6,1*06.
