SARATOGA TRUNKS TO GET AWAY TO POINT CLEAR, BAY ST. LOUIS, AND LONG BRANCH, N. J.
May 28, 1867
Daily Picayune - Tuesday, May 28, 1867 - p 1 c 5
The warm weather of the last few days has put the notion of seeking cooler latitudes into the heads of a great many of our people
%
who do not belong to the "can1t^get-aways." Sole leather and Saratoga trunks are meeting with an active sale.
Point Clear will probably be the fashionable watering place South this summer, and many of our citizens intend sojourning there with their families.
The watering places along Mississippi Sound will also doubtless be well patronized. The Hotel at the Bay St. Louis is highly spoken of.
Bladon Springs, Ala., and Cooper's Wells, Hinds County, Miss., the former under the management of Jas. Conner & Son, and the latter Inman Williams, Esq., offer great inducements to seekers after health and pleasure.
Among the Northern watering places, Long Branch, New Jersey, will probably be the fash ionable place of resort, as it was last summer.
