On this sixteenth day of October A. D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty-five, personally appeared before me, William S. Benedict, Deputv Clerk of the U. S. District Court, in and for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the same being a Court of Record, Rebecca Nixon, widow of Geo.
H.	Nixon, aged Seventy-eight years, a resident of New Orleans, in the State of Louisiana, who being duly sworn according to law' declares that she is the identical Rebecca Nixon, who was a pensioner on the roll of the agency at New Orleans, and whose pension certificate is herewith returned; that she has resided since the first day of January as follows: at New Orleans, La., that during this period her means of subsistence have been-Charitv-from friends and relatives; and that she has not in any manner encouraged the rebels, or manifested a svmpathv with their cause and that she was hist paid her pension to the 3rd day of September 1859.
This application is made for the purpose of securing a restoration of her name to the pension rolls and of obtaining a new certificate, such as she may be entitled to under existing law's, reference being made to the evidence heretofore filed in the Pension office to substantiate her original claim.
