Those interested in attending a workshop are encouraged to register in advance at the Bay St. Louis-Hancock County Library, or by phone at 467-5282. Drop-ins can possibly be accommodated if the workshop is not full (limit of 20 per workshop).
Children under 12 years of old must be accompanied by an adult.
A person attending a workshop will learn to work with the tile and create a design which will be incorporated into the mural. Everything will be provided: tile, tools - - even inspiration. You need not bring anything, except perhaps a photo or picture as a possible model. Elizabeth Veglia and her assistants will help along the way. People are always delighted when their creations are completed. We are happy to receive your contributions and display them permanently as part of the mural.
Lectures concerning the history and culture of the area will be presented as part of the mosaic mural project. Charles Gray, president of the Hancock County Historical Society, will discuss the local history of Bay St. Louis and Hancock County. Fred Wagner, noted local architect, will talk about local architecture and its affect on local history.
Those programs will be held in the Meeting Room of the Bay St. Louis-Hancock County Library: Thursday, February 1	7:00	p.m.
Tuesday, February 6	4:00	p.m.	Charles Gray
Thursday, February 15	2:00	p.m.	Fred Wagner
